I use turpenoid natural in my silicoil jar. I wait until the sediment has settled to the bottom, then pour off the clearer solvent from the top into another jar, to reuse afterward. So the sediment is but a sludge left on the bottom of the jar. And then I pour the sludge off into a disposable container (like an old yogurt tub) and seal it up and throw it away. Then I employ paper towels to wipe as much of the remaining goop out of the jar, and launder the jar with soap and h2o.

Liz, not to familiar with the silicoil jar! I apply turpenoid besides but in cans to first clean my brushes. At the terminate of painting I swirl the contaminated turpenoid in the can and cascade into a funnel into a large glass container. The next twenty-four hours the contaminates have settled and I merely cascade the decanted turpenoid in cans again for that painting session…..Information technology takes a very long time before the large drinking glass container needs to be recycled considering of the sludge build upwards in information technology……..L

Mine comes out, just information technology is a piffling fiddly – you kind of have to work at it to become information technology to come out.

Well now, that'southward proficient news Leopoldo LOL !!

I don't use that silicoil thing, but I practice cascade off my turpenoid from the saucepan that I utilise, scrape out the sludge, put it in some other container (makes good mudd), and recycle my turpenoid the same way.

I use the Silicoil Jar and accept to say it is a great petty tool for the artist!

Okay all I did was I put a little mineral spirits in it then put the lid back on and then I shook the heck out of information technology. I repeated that three times and it was clean.
