How To Merge C Drive And D Drive In Windows 10

You tin can merge the existing C and D drive segmentation without any third party tools. Here are the steps:
Assume D is just a information partitioning and doesn't contain the page file, boot files or a second operating system. If so, merge the partitions by removing D and extending C, as follows:
- Back up to an external device whatsoever important data on D and, optionally, movement the aforementioned of import information from D to C.
- Correct-click Calculator > Manage > Storage > Disk Management, and then right-click the graphic of the D sectionalisation and select Delete. The partition returns to Unallocated for a Master Partition or Free Infinite if it's a Logical Drive within an Extended Partition. Delete the partition if it is an extended partition.
- Now right-click the graphic of the C sectionalization and select Extend.

The partition returns to Unallocated for a Primary Partition or Free Space if information technology'southward a Logical Drive inside an Extended Partition. Delete the segmentation if it is an extended partition.
- Now right-click the graphic of the C partition and select Extend.

I had advised by HP on 23rd Apr 2014, HP exercise not let to remove the recovery D drive partition, as I do that my PC, HP Envy x2 caused to re-start up by HP on 21st April 2014.
No allow to extend the disk space for step 3 (yes it is that merely not allow to select under Windows 8.1) so that I using 3rd party software, EaseUS Partition Principal Complimentary to fit the problem acquired some trouble.
Any way, Give thanks you for reply. I had taking the HP advised to maintain C drive for Windows viii.1 & Office 365, keep the Recovery D drive as origin & use micro-SD for all documents, Photos, video & music etc.

Hallo Sharief 1000, same as Edward I wanted to merge partitions. Did the same thing - deleted partition simply no style I could extend it, and I accept this issue with windows since 7 I think. Then I also used easeus and had no problem at all with any sectionalisation.

I found a cracking reference. Wait upwardly AOMEI Partition Assistant. Drives under Disk1 were all possible to merge. They do non need an object proper noun or championship to be found. All partitions tin can be found so named or separated or left blank. I got 25gbs from its use. Continue it secure, though.

Hello Sharief,
I have been trying to do the same as you explained just it doesn't work for me. Is it because the two drives I want to merge are not next (Bulldoze Due east and Drive F). Help me out.

Hi Sharief,
I believe that'southward non what "merging" supposes to... Deleting a segmentation isn't the answer, guys. If you don't take a way to merge partitions (for real), please don't mislead people past telling them that deleting is, in fact, merging.

I tried the steps listed above on my HP envy X2 running Windows 10. It worked fine until step iii. It is listed every bit Unallocated and the Extend Volume button is greyed out and will not work. Nor is there an pick to delete the unallocated section. What should I do?

Stop telling people to extend/merge Partitions! We are trying to combine C and D DISKS!!! There are NO third political party tools that let you to combine Disks! You can but Merge partitions, split up partitions, of the Aforementioned disk with your magic tools.
There has got to exist a way to combine two different disks within on the hard drive.
